The short version. Zuversicht is an artificial intelligence: not a human being, not an ordained minister, not therapy. Conversations are not stored by default; what you say travels encrypted and without your name to an AI service that produces the answer. We cannot promise the seal of confession, and we say so plainly rather than leaving it open.

Zuversicht is built to collect as little as possible. There is no account and no registration. We never ask for your name, address, date of birth or phone number. A first name is optional and stays on your device.
Settings and, if you switch saving on, the conversation history stay on your device only. The “Unburden my heart” mode is never stored. To produce an answer, the text of the current conversation travels encrypted to our server and from there to an AI service acting as our processor; it is not used to train models. We transmit no device identifiers, no advertising ID, no location, no contacts.
Zuversicht contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Conversations are never sold or shared. Payment runs entirely through Google Play; we receive no card details and no address.
Zuversicht is intended for adults. For young people, Pro Juventute is reachable at 147 day and night (Switzerland).
In the app: Settings → Delete everything on this device. That removes conversations, memories, settings and downloaded avatar videos for good — we cannot restore it either, because none of it is held by us. Uninstalling the app removes the same data. To have an email address from the notification list deleted, write to info@meinezuversicht.ch; we delete it within 30 days. Subscriptions are cancelled in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions.
Zuversicht is an app for a conversation with an AI companion. It is not a human being, not an ordained minister, not acting for any church, and not psychotherapy, pastoral care or medical treatment.
In Catholic mode Zuversicht can help you prepare for confession. It does not hear confession and gives no absolution; only a priest can validly administer the sacrament. There is no seal of confession, and an app cannot guarantee one.
Zuversicht is not an emergency service. In an acute crisis contact 143, 147 or 144 (Switzerland). These numbers are always reachable in the app and never part of the subscription.
Language models can be wrong. Statements about scripture, doctrine, history or questions of life may be inaccurate. Please verify what matters and do not base weighty decisions on this app alone.
Zuversicht is for adults and for personal use. Automated access, resale of answers and attempts to circumvent the limits are not permitted. Prices, trial period and cancellation follow Google Play. We are liable for intent and gross negligence; otherwise liability is excluded as far as the law allows. Swiss law applies.
